A special Gothic Revival house designed by Alexander Jackson Davis, Lyndhurst is owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

As a means of supplementing revenues from sites visits, Lyndhurst rents its facilities to private parties for business meetings, fund-raisers, and weddings.
