Worcester, Massachusetts Built as the Worcester Woman's Club in 1902, Tuckerman Hall is a neo-classical building, triangular in plan, located next to the Worcester Art Museum. It contains a 550-seat main hall adorned with magnificent plaster detail and ornate gold leaf. Other unique spaces include a circular auditorium seating 200 and six fireplaced turret suites, each with a different architectural style. Today the home of the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, Tuckerman Hall is in great demand as a venue for artistic, social, and civic functions such as concerts, weddings, public forums, and college alumni gatherings. RestorationPhase I modernization, completed 1999, included providing handicapped access, upgrading restrooms, installing air conditioning, and restoring interior spaces. Phase II renovations, primarily to the windows and exterior, were begun in June 2004 and completed in September 2004. Weddings and Corporate EventsTuckerman Hall offers a magnificent setting for your special occasion. Our dedicated staff is ready to accommodate your every need, and can also refer you to a distinguished list of caterers, photographers, floral designers and musicians who are familiar with our facilities. Size & CapacityA perfect venue for 150 to 200 guests, Tuckerman Hall can also expand to up to 250 guests seated at tables in the main hall, together with a dance floor. Theatre style seating can accommodate up to 550; and a stand-up reception can hold up to 400 in the main hall. Prior to dinner and dancing, guests can enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of either the circular-shaped Dean Hall in the lower level or the exquisite turret suites on the second floor for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. Either the main hall or Dean Hall can also be used for a wedding ceremony. Both Tuckerman and Dean Halls have a full stage. AlcoholTuckerman Hall has an all-alcoholic liquor license. Accordingly, all alcohol and beverages must be supplied and furnished by Tuckerman Hall's proprietors and by no other party. All patrons consuming alcohol must be age 21 or older. Virtually any type of wine or special liquor is available for your event. Please provide us with your requirements at least six weeks in advance |
